Since 1914, the Roanoke Inn has served Mercer Island and Puget Sound communities. As a place known for where ‘friends meet friends’, the Roanoke has survived the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, Prohibition, two World Wars, the Great Depression and even disco. Like in past times of hardship, our community will persevere and the Roanoke will continue its tradition of serving the community the best we can.
Every day for the last month, we have been deeply saddened seeing the impact COVID-19 has had on our friends and broad Roanoke family. We miss the smiling faces of each of you congregating inside the tavern making lasting friendships while swapping stories of yesteryear and celebrating today’s successes. We miss the weekly updates on your children and grandchildren. We miss watching the jubilation when someone selects a song from the jukebox that brings a rush of memories and emotions to you. Most of all, we miss you.
We’re excited to bring back some of that community, albeit it in a way that helps follow the highest safety protocols. We are offering a revised food menu available for patio-side takeout as well as to-go cocktails, bottles of wine, growler fills, and bottled beer.
